Elaine Printz's journey is a blend of life's unique experiences. With a background in healthcare and 15 transformative years in South Asia, she returned to the US in 2017 and founded Walls by Elaine, a thriving mural business in Portland, OR. Her journey has now brought her to the Coachella Valley where Elaine has seamlessly blended her love for art with a passion for teaching, focusing on the therapeutic art form of dot mandala painting through her business Creative Classes with Elaine.

Can you share a little of the rewards of your business?
The most rewarding aspect of running my dot painting business is witnessing the transformation and joy it brings to my students. Seeing individuals find solace, self-expression, and a sense of mindfulness through dot painting, and knowing that I've contributed to their creative journey, is incredibly fulfilling.
My Meditative Mandala Dot Painting classes are not just about art; they are deeply healing and therapeutic. As I continue to build my business, this will be a central focus for me—to share the therapeutic benefits of dot painting with those who may not have the means to access it otherwise. It's about making a positive impact and bringing the healing power of art to everyone who needs it.
You’ve made quite a splash in the local community.
The local community in La Quinta has embraced my business with open arms. I've received overwhelming support and encouragement from residents and fellow artists. I've collaborated with local organizations and participated in community events, fostering strong connections and a sense of belonging in this close-knit artistic community.
What do you see for the future of your business?
In the future, I envision my business expanding its offerings and engaging with an even broader audience. I aim to continue nurturing my local community and fostering a deeper appreciation for dot painting. Additionally, I am exploring opportunities to introduce my unique art form to a wider demographic, potentially through online classes and collaborations with other artistic communities.
Furthermore, it's a dream of mine to expand my outreach to less fortunate individuals and women's shelters in the community.
